Looking at the obits for Robert McNamara, one thing strikes me... He represented the forefront of a a new generation that saw computers as capable of ushering in a new age of scientific management. Almost fifty years later, and the current generation is hoping to see computers usher in a new age of digital democracy. Plus Ça Change...
